It is a tricky one, most people believe that it was Beale who was the brains behind Gerrard. They won one season, thankfully the one that stopped Celtic winning ten ina row.
People forget the years exile in the lower leagues we had. Celtic have a massive march on us, it takes times to catch up! Beale was given money and brought in 9 players, PSV came too soon. We beat them last year, and could have this year, but not taking chances, they take theirs and it goes from bad to worse and we get hammered.

Well, an insider's view will always be different. I just woke up one day expecting Rangers to topple Celtic every season, I forgot those long years of dominance. You pointed me a point I've never considered before since I started following their rivalry less than 10 years ago.
I guess the Gerrard seasons and media noisemaking due to Gerrard's status set many eyes on Rangers. I only watched the games they played against Celtic yet I knew every player in the first team by name. Crazy what the media can do.
