Hi, there's a line in my note which says, "given where their ambition should lie".
A guy who managed to keep Nottingham Forest above water shouldn't be what a Leicester City should be going for. Even at Forest his job was on the line at a time, because of poor results. Look at the amount of money Forest spent of mostly quality players and Cooper was making it seem like a big achievement to keep them up– they almost got relegated.
Today where is Forest? They are doing exceptionally well post Cooper, even getting into a Champions league place. Maresca brought Leicester City up into the EPL and left for Chelsea a club with a confusing surplus of players and see how well he is doing.
Leicester is not Ipswich town in ambition and in finances, they just can't settle for a Steve Cooper at this time, he should never have been employed even.

Cheers
yeh, feels like a nervy decision to me.
I can't help but think they have a replacement primed and want to give him a month before the transfer window opens
Be interesting to see who pops up there looking at the names already in the mix
