La historia de Tone, Geez y Melvin: un trío improbable. Rising Star [ESP/ENG]
Bienvenidos al universo de Rising Star, donde cada paso hacia el estrellato es una mezcla de suerte, talento, astucia y sobre todo, trabajo en equipo, donde surgen personajes que parecen sacados de mundos completamente distintos. En el reto de esta semana hablaremos de Tone, el guardaespaldas imperturbable, Geez, el productor calculador, y Melvin, un músico tímido y autocrítico que nunca creyó demasiado en sí mismo.
Welcome to the universe of Rising Star, where every step toward stardom is a blend of luck, talent, cunning, and above all, teamwork, where characters emerge as if taken from completely different worlds. In this week’s challenge we will talk about Tone, the unshakable bodyguard, Geez, the calculating producer, and Melvin, a shy and self-critical musician who never believed too much in himself.
Tone siempre fue conocido por su presencia imponente. No era necesario que hablara demasiado; su figura bastaba para poner orden en cualquier escenario. La gente que lo conocía sabía que lo único que pedía era respeto, y a cambio ofrecía una lealtad inquebrantable. Aunque no era músico ni productor, entendía el mundo del espectáculo desde otro lugar, el de la seguridad, el de proteger a los artistas y a sus instrumentos. Su trabajo lo llevó a cruzarse con incontables artistas, pero pocas veces había mostrado interés personal en alguien.
Tone was always known for his imposing presence. He didn’t need to speak much; his figure alone was enough to bring order to any stage. People who knew him understood that all he asked for was respect, and in return, he offered unwavering loyalty. Although he wasn’t a musician or producer, he understood the world of entertainment from another angle: that of security, of protecting artists and their instruments. His work led him to cross paths with countless performers, but he rarely showed personal interest in anyone.
Por otro lado, Geez representaba la cara más pragmática del trio, con su estilo afilado y su capacidad para negociar cualquier cosa, entendía el negocio como un mercado donde los sueños se compraban y vendían. No era un villano, pero sí alguien que veía el arte como una oportunidad de inversión. Donde otros escuchaban melodías, él veía contratos y números. Su habilidad para abrir puertas lo hacía indispensable, aunque muchos lo consideraban un tiburón dispuesto a morder en cuanto hubiera ocasión.
On the other hand, Geez represented the most pragmatic side of the trio. With his sharp style and ability to negotiate anything, he saw the business as a marketplace where dreams were bought and sold. He wasn’t a villain, but he was someone who viewed art as an investment opportunity. Where others heard melodies, he saw contracts and numbers. His ability to open doors made him indispensable, though many saw him as a shark ready to bite whenever the chance arose.
A diferencia de Geez, Melvin pasaba horas en estudios pequeños, perdido entre cables y computadoras y su mayor obstáculo era la duda constante sobre su propio valor, su propia autocritica era la que lo detenía. Era sin duda un musico sensible, y para quienes lo escuchaban, estaba claro que tenía un don natural para la música. Para él, en cambio, cada nota parecía insuficiente, cada intento quedaba por debajo de lo que esperaba de sí mismo.
Unlike Geez, Melvin spent hours in small studios, lost among cables and computers, with his greatest obstacle being the constant doubt about his own worth. His self-criticism was what held him back. He was without a doubt a sensitive musician, and for those who listened to him, it was clear he had a natural gift for music. For him, however, every note seemed insufficient, every attempt fell short of his own expectations.
El encuentro entre los tres se dio de manera casi accidental, pero la combinación resultó más efectiva de lo que cualquiera habría imaginado. Geez fue quien vio el potencial de Melvin, convencido de que había allí un diamante en bruto. Para él, lo difícil no era reconocer el talento, sino lograr que Melvin lo mostrara sin boicotearse. Fue entonces cuando entró en escena Tone, que aunque al principio solo estaba allí para cumplir funciones de apoyo, terminó siendo el equilibrio necesario para sostener al joven músico. Durante los primeros meses, el trío atravesó una rutina intensa de pequeños conciertos, ensayos y negociaciones. Geez utilizaba todos sus contactos para conseguir presentaciones y lugares donde mostrar el talento de sus chicos, aunque siempre con la mirada puesta en los beneficios futuros. Melvin aportaba la música, con la fragilidad de quien duda a cada paso, pero con una creatividad que sorprendía incluso a quienes no creían en él. Y Tone, siempre en segundo plano, se encargaba de que el entorno permaneciera bajo control, evitando distracciones y asegurando que el trabajo se pudiera llevar adelante.
The meeting between the three happened almost by accident, but the combination turned out to be more effective than anyone could have imagined. Geez was the one who saw Melvin’s potential, convinced there was a diamond in the rough. For him, the challenge wasn’t recognizing talent but making Melvin showcase it without sabotaging himself. That was when Tone entered the scene. Although at first he was only there to provide support, he became the balance needed to sustain the young musician. During the first months, the trio went through an intense routine of small gigs, rehearsals, and negotiations. Geez used all his contacts to secure opportunities and venues to showcase his team’s talent, always with an eye on future profits. Melvin contributed the music, fragile at every step, but with a creativity that even skeptics found surprising. And Tone, always in the background, made sure the environment stayed under control, avoiding distractions and ensuring the work could move forward.
El verdadero desafío llegó con las primeras presentaciones ante un público numeroso. Para Melvin fue un momento difícil, en el que se enfrentaba al miedo de no estar a la altura, a la presión de quienes lo rodeaban y a la expectativa de demostrar algo más que talento encerrado en un estudio, algo que sucede mucho lamentablemente. Sin embargo, lo que ocurrió en esos escenarios fue distinto a lo que él había imaginado. El público respondió con entusiasmo a su música, encontrando en sus canciones una autenticidad difícil de ignorar.
The real challenge came with the first performances before a large audience. For Melvin, it was a difficult moment, facing the fear of not being good enough, the pressure from those around him, and the expectation of proving something beyond talent locked in a studio —something that unfortunately happens often. However, what happened on those stages was different from what he had imagined. The audience responded enthusiastically to his music, finding in his songs an authenticity that was hard to ignore.
Con el tiempo lograron trabajar en equipo de una manera fascinante y sacar del mismo un buen provecho de hacer del arte algo con lo que vivir, y vivir con entusiasmo. Melvin no perdió el miedo, pero si se sentía cada vez mas seguro de si mismo teniendo a sus colegas al lado dándoles animo. Mientras que Geez continuo siendo un gran negociador y Tone su guardian silencioso, juntos lograron alcanzar lo impensado y abrirse al universo competitivo para demostrar lo valioso de cada uno. Como siempre las hermosas historias cuentan, la combinacion de fuerzas diferentes es la que termina marcando la diferencia.
Over time, they managed to work as a team in a fascinating way, turning art into something to live from —and to live with enthusiasm. Melvin never fully lost his fear, but he felt increasingly confident with his colleagues by his side giving him encouragement. Geez continued being a great negotiator and Tone his silent guardian, and together they achieved the unthinkable, opening themselves to the competitive universe to prove each one’s worth. As beautiful stories often remind us, it is the combination of different forces that ultimately makes the difference.
