There wasn't actually that much of a "may momentum", the expectation was that we would have a higher pump in June, but I think the wars may have halted all the "May momentum"
The expectation was a bull trap, into which I partially fell myself. It was a "sell in May" scenario, that's what we should've followed. Wars, tariffs and so on are only FUDs used to keep the markets down during summertime, without looking here at their effects in the real world, just focusing on their short term effects in the markets.
