Satsman โ€“ Learn Bitcoin, Earn Sats and Level Up Your Knowledge โšกโ‚ฟ

KI generated

Bitcoin is much more than watching a price chart and hoping that the number goes up.

The deeper you go down the Bitcoin rabbit hole, the more you realize how much there is to learn: self-custody, wallets, private keys, security, the blockchain, Lightning, the monetary system and, ultimately, the question of what money actually is.

One platform that tries to make this learning process a little more entertaining is Satsman.

I have spent quite some time on the platform, completed the available SBI Intelligence training and received my certificate. I also became a Satsman Founder.

So I thought it was time to share my experience.

๐ŸŽฎ What is Satsman?

Satsman combines Bitcoin education with gamification and small Bitcoin rewards.

Instead of simply presenting you with page after page of theory, the platform turns learning about Bitcoin into missions and challenges.

And, as the name suggests, you can earn satoshis along the way.

For anyone new to Bitcoin, I think this is a particularly interesting concept.

Learning about Bitcoin can be intimidating at first.

Suddenly you encounter terms such as:

  • Self-Custody

  • Private Keys

  • Seed Phrases

  • Blockchain

  • Mining

  • Lightning Network

  • Nodes

  • Fiat Money

  • Monetary Policy

Satsman makes many of these subjects much more approachable.

And importantly, the focus is on Bitcoin rather than throwing dozens of different cryptocurrencies at beginners.

๐Ÿ›ฐ๏ธ Daily Missions

One of the things that keeps Satsman interesting is its mission system.

There are Daily Missions that you can complete regularly and receive sats for.

This turns visiting the platform into a small routine rather than something you open once, read for twenty minutes and then forget about.

If you upgrade your account, additional missions become available, giving you more things to do and additional opportunities to earn sats.

Of course, nobody is going to become a Bitcoin whale by completing a few missions. ๐Ÿ˜„

But that isn't really the point.

The sats are the incentive.

The knowledge is the real reward.

๐Ÿ•ต๏ธ Welcome to the SBI

One of my favorite parts of Satsman is the SBI โ€“ Satsman Bureau of Intelligence.

This is where the educational aspect becomes much more structured.

You progress through different levels and learn about Bitcoin step by step. Successfully completing the training also rewards you with sats along the way.

The subjects cover many of the things that every Bitcoiner should eventually understand.

That includes how Bitcoin works, how the blockchain operates, why self-custody matters, how wallets work, security mechanisms, the Lightning Network and the differences between Bitcoin and the traditional fiat monetary system.

Instead of simply telling somebody:

"Bitcoin fixes this."

Satsman actually helps people understand why Bitcoin exists in the first place.

That distinction is important.

๐ŸŽ“ I Completed the SBI Training

For me personally, there was another nice milestone:

I completed all of the SBI Intelligence training and received my certificate.

Obviously, a certificate doesn't suddenly make somebody a Bitcoin expert.

Bitcoin is one of those subjects where the rabbit hole seems to become deeper the more you learn.

But I still like the idea of having a visible achievement at the end of the training.

It gives you something to work toward instead of simply reading disconnected articles.

Mission accomplished. ๐Ÿซก

๐ŸŸ  From Student to Satsman Founder

I also decided to become a Satsman Founder.

For me, this is mainly about supporting a project that tries to make Bitcoin education more accessible and more entertaining.

There are plenty of platforms where you can speculate on crypto.

There are considerably fewer that encourage people to actually understand Bitcoin.

And I think education is particularly important when it comes to self-custody.

Buying Bitcoin is easy.

Understanding how to hold it securely yourself is another matter entirely.

Not your keys, not your coins only becomes useful advice once people understand what those keys actually are and how to protect them.

โšก My Own Bitcoin Journey Goes a Little Further

Satsman is, of course, only one part of my own Bitcoin journey.

Outside the platform, I also run my own Bitcoin Node and Lightning Node.

Those nodes have nothing directly to do with Satsman, but I think they illustrate where learning about Bitcoin can eventually lead.

At some point, you stop simply owning Bitcoin.

You start asking how transactions are validated.

Then you learn about nodes.

You start experimenting with Lightning.

You open Lightning channels.

You learn about inbound and outbound liquidity.

You suddenly find yourself discussing routing fees and channel management...

...and somewhere along the way you realize that the rabbit hole has swallowed you completely. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‡

Running my own nodes has given me a much better understanding of how Bitcoin actually works compared with simply holding BTC on an exchange.

And that is exactly why I appreciate projects that encourage newcomers to learn these fundamentals early.

๐Ÿง  Bitcoin Education Matters

One of the biggest problems in the broader crypto space is that people often start with speculation instead of education.

They buy something because somebody on YouTube said it might go 100x.

Bitcoin deserves a different approach.

Understanding Bitcoin means learning about much more than BTC itself.

You inevitably start learning about economics, inflation, monetary policy, cryptography, networks, decentralization, game theory and the history of money.

You learn why Bitcoin has a fixed supply.

You learn why self-custody matters.

You learn why running a node matters.

And you learn why Lightning exists.

That knowledge is worth considerably more than the few sats you might receive for completing a mission.

๐Ÿ† Learn Bitcoin โ€“ and Get Rewarded Along the Way

That is ultimately what I like about Satsman.

The platform takes something that can be complicated and turns it into a game.

You complete missions.

You progress through training.

You earn some sats.

You unlock achievements.

And eventually you understand Bitcoin a little better than you did yesterday.

For experienced Bitcoiners, some of the material will naturally be familiar.

But for newcomers in particular, I think the concept is excellent.

Instead of telling someone to read hundreds of pages of Bitcoin documentation, you can give them a place where they can simply start exploring.

And perhaps those first few missions are the beginning of their own journey down the rabbit hole.

Mine has already gone pretty deep.

I have completed the training.

I have the certificate.

I became a Founder.

I run my own Bitcoin and Lightning nodes.

And somehow I still keep finding new things to learn.

That's Bitcoin. โ‚ฟ

โšก Learn. Earn Sats. Understand Bitcoin.

If you are still relatively new to Bitcoin โ€“ or simply enjoy learning more about it โ€“ Satsman is definitely worth checking out.

The earning depends of what you want and your level. You can join for free and do 3 missions which takes maybe 3 min or less. I upgraded to Founding Member.
