THE DAY MY COURSE REP ORGANISED A PICNIC ...WEEK83(EDITION 2)

I used to think happiness was from big things. First class. New laptop. Viral post.

But the happiest day of my 200L year?
It was a ₦3,500 picnic my course mate planned.

The Experience
February. MTH 201 was killing us. Test was in 3 days and I was failing in my head.
Broke. Stressed. Hadn't laughed in weeks.

Then our course rep ,best Course rep of the year lol, posted in our WhatsApp group:
"Guys, picnic this Saturday. School field. 2pm. Bring ₦3,500. Just come and breathe."

I almost didn't go. "What’s the point? I should read."
But I was tired of my room, so I went.

We got there and it wasn’t fancy. colourful bedsheets. kpomo, ice cream,rice,soft drink. Gala. Coke. Loud music from a small speaker.
But our course rep had also brought something weird: a tripod , led light and power bank.

At sunset, we all gathered in the field we started playing game from one game to another recording every memory we shared that day. From games to eating and drinking then taking pictures and all that....

Everyone was laughing abd i can see the happiness in everyone's face. And yeah the video we recorded we posted it on tiktok and it went viral💃💃

Then our course rep said: "I know this semester is hard. But look at us. We’re still here. Together."

What I Learned About Happiness
That night I went back to my Lodge and actually studied. And I passed.
Not because of the textbook. Because for the first time in months, I didn’t feel alone.

That picnic didn’t give me money or grades.
It gave me proof that I had people.

So now I think happiness doesn’t come from what we achieve.
It comes from the people who remind you to pause, eat indomie, and laugh when life is heavy.

Sometimes the multiverse gives you a Picnic.
