Time is one resource we can't get back. Once it's gone, it's gone. People think they have time, but in truth, time keeps running out. This is why proper use and optimization of one's time is very crucial.
Procrastination is one thing we see a lot. It won't be farfetched to say that everyone procrastinates or has procrastinated at some point in their lives. The truth is that procrastination can be convenient for the time being. Sometimes, you just want to postpone things and be free, or rest, or just do whatever you want with your time. However, procrastination comes to haunt you in the long run.
In the long run, you discover that there isn't enough time. You're struggling to do the activities you postponed. You're under a lot of pressure. Sometimes, you make mistakes because of that pressure, or you simply don't do a good job. Procrastination has cost people opportunities, all because of a lack of value for time.
This is why I try to limit my level of procrastination or avoid it totally. Productivity and procrastination do not mix. I get that some days can be overwhelming that you can't help but push some activities back. That's okay as long as you get back to them as soon as possible.
A lot of days, I'm usually occupied that it seems like 24 hours in a day is not enough. When I take a step back and evaluate how I spent my time, I discover that there are things I waste my time on. This is why it is important to take stock of your time. Figure out the important things that need more time and do away with or minimize the time you spend on things that aren’t as important. This way, you can be more productive with your time without being overwhelmed.
When I complete my daily schedule and I still have some time, I try to rest or sleep. This is in order to get recharged and recover my energy for the next day. Sometimes I do something fun like watch a movie or play games for a brief period. This is a form of relaxation in order to get back to my tasks with a refreshed mind.
One of the things I consider a waste of my time is endlessly scrolling on social media like TikTok or instagram for hours. The funny thing is that they can be addictive. You open the app and before you know it, you’ve spent half of your day just scrolling. That’s a good way to waste precious time.
In conclusion, time is precious, and it will be to your ultimate benefit to optimize it.

Wow, I really needed this reminder! Procrastination honestly creeps in so quietly, you don’t even notice until you're suddenly racing against the clock. And that part about social media? So true! I open the app just to check one thing and boom, an hour’s gone. It’s wild how easily time slips away 😥
