Cancer needs a cure

Incurable diseases have been an issue plaguing humans from the dawn of time. Ordinarily, we get sick, go for treatment and get better. When a disease that falls in the incurable category hits, it becomes a different matter. One starts to count down to their demise, while going through so much pain and agony.

The thing about such diseases is that it's not just one person that suffers, the family and friends of the affected person have to go through it with that person.

Personally, there is one disease I have wished so much I had the cure to. It's Cancer. Cancer has taken so many lives. It is one disease that diminishes the the quality and length of life.

Cancer takes a toll on every aspect of one's life. It takes a toll financially, mentally, physically, and socially. Starting from diagnosis, it's heartbreak. Heart break for both the individual and loved ones.

The next thing is usually that the person starts treatment. Cancer treatment like chemotherapy takes a huge toll on someone. The body changes. For most it's draining. Most People call cancer survival a battle. An unpalatable battle. If it's an advanced stage cancer, one has to first deal with the grief of imminent death.

The weird thing about Cancer is that it is a disease that occurs as a result of the body cells going rogue. Unfortunately, some people become prone to it just because someone in their family had it. In terrible situations, cancerous tumours form, and they cause more problems.

Unfortunately, cancer spreads. If nothing is done about it, it keeps spreading and making one worse health wise. Sometimes, even when something is done about it, it keeps spreading.

Seeing what cancer has done to a lot of persons and families, I wish I had a cure for it. It would reduce the amount of deaths drastically. Cancer could just develop in someone and that's the beginning of a sad and terrible rollercoaster for that person.

No one should have to go through that. Yes, there are ways to manage these cancers, but it needs a permanent cure. It's needs a cure that once administered, the individual becomes cancer free.

I see a lot of rich individuals, organizations, and even countries spend huge amounts of money on frivolous things and I wish that instead, they would channel that money into coming up with a cancer cure as soon as possible.

I do hope that in the coming future, a definite cure for cancer is developed.
