Building a better tomorrow

Working for a better tomorrow? Greetings, beautiful souls 🄰. Thank you for stopping by my blog. The theme for the second edition of this week says, Why do we spend our lives gathering worldly treasures when we will leave them behind at the end of the day?. It is true that whatever we are working for today, when we die, we will leave it all behind. But I have one question for you:

would you like your future grandkids to suffer the way you did? I guess the answer is no, and again, if you don't work, how then will you eat? So many people are working tirelessly today so they will have a better tomorrow, and I also believe that some are also working tirelessly to build a better future for their generation to come. There is this retired soldier in my community; who fought in so many countries, and he is retired with a very good amount of money, the man is very wealthy, his Children went to the best school, now that he is retired, he only sit and enjoy his wealthy and even if he die today I believe he have no regrets because he has build a better life for himself and his children.

I mean, he have correct money. I strongly believe that with the kind of money that man have, I'm sure that even his third generation will benefit from that wealth, so I think so many people are not just working for themselves but also for the unborn generation. Yes, we will die someday and leave whatever we have worked hard for, but there is this joy that comes with knowing that you worked well for them and they will forever be grateful to you for clearing the path for them.

And again, being wealthy in old age is a good thing, you know, because at that point, you know your age will not let you work, so you get to just sit down and enjoy the fruit of your labor. So in my thoughts, working hard is to build a better tomorrow for yourself and your future generations. Thank you for stopping by. See you next time.

Omo, some of us who came from poor background can relate to this. Sometimes our bodies react to the pressure from work and we are not ignorant of the fact that material things are not eternal but we wouldn't like our children and loved ones to suffer the way we did, so we just have to keep working for those things.

Sometimes we don't even have to do it for us, we do it for the generation that will come after us.

You've nailed it.

Hardwork really goes beyond accumulating/gathering wealth as we all know we will live it all someday, it's about impacting lives now, and leaving a good legacy for the coming generations.

Thanks for sharing.
