Happiness is a chemical reaction you have in your brain and you perform it with endorphin and seratone. In the end we are only a biological machine that react to impulses to achieve that happiness. Yes money will allow you to pleasure your needs better and perform happiness. I like going to the spa and get a massage and relax and think on nothing and smell aromatherapy and come out floating walking in a cloud from a nice foot massage. Or laying on a hummock with the sound of the waves and drinking a ice cold coconut water while seen the sun go down and beautiful girls playing in the water. Or just live a regular life without the pressure of paying bills or paying your friend because you owe them. But I will say that money is just a factor of life. Before money you could still be threatened by other humans, wild animals or mosquitoes. Even that picture perfect picture of the spa or the beach could be annoyed by minuscule things like somebody reply to you wrong, or you have a mosquito flying around your ear. Is not the things that make you happy, is the mood and state of mind that do.
Did I deny that the state of mind is not important? As long as you maintain your positive mindset, you can maintain it, and I already said it in my post. The picture you drew here is the thing that you think of as happiness. I don't expect too much from life like you, and according to you, the variable you mentioned here is uncertainty. You can also die, does it mean we can't be happy? A positive mindset knows how to eliminate the thoughts of uncertainty, as it's something beyond control, and allows the person to find happiness. If you worry too much about the uncertainty, happiness is not for you.
There was a very good movie called, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind which dwells on the concept of living in a constant stage of happiness. Is a classic and sort of explore the philosophical purpose of happiness.
There is also the last 2 shows from Rick and Morty which explore drugs (or magical alien parasites) to trick your brain to that stage. Highly entertaining.
