THE POWER OF CHOICE

I'm excited to share some thoughts about something that keeps occurring in my spirit for these days. I believe it would bring a little shift to the stock of knowledge you have already. I decided to call it the power of choice. This is an aspect that every individual is expected to experience in the journey of life.

One of the great privilege and gifts that God has given humanity is the power to make choices. This is one of the distinguishing factors between human beings and other things. Choice entails the ability to decide, discern or direct. We are all products of the kind of choices we made. Your tomorrow is determined by the choice you make about today. The entire span of life is seen by the kind of choices we make. The quality of your life is sharped by the kind of choices you made. Good choice produces fantastic results while bad choices ruined one's life. Shortly I will be sharing some cardinal key that one needs to consider in making any choice.

The first thing I would like to say is that seek God. Don't take any step without consulting the creator. The best choice are embedded in one's act of seeking God and direction. It doesn't matter your religious affiliation. We are frail and loaded with limitations. Our dependency on God will enable us to take the right step in the right direction. This can be achieved through prayers, meditation or any other means that one could be connected to God.

Another valid key that one shouldn't joke with is understanding the value and implication of any choice. Don't just be carried away by emotions but ensure that there is deep conviction from your heart because whatever be the outcome, you would have to beat it. Endeavor to have good and right information before a step is taking. There are many people that have become victims of circumstances as a result of the kind of decision they made. What you don't have strong knowledge or grip of don't dare to go ahead.

Have time to meditate and look at both shorts and long term implications. There are some choices that aren't good to make hasty decisions whereas others need abrupt step. You can consult elders or your mentors for guidance. Be responsible so that you don't blame anyone at the outcome. Learn to own it and live by it.
