You are right, somethings cannot be taught in schools that ought to pass academic knowledge, the load would be much. There are schools that teaches how to fight for defence purposes, it won't be bad to enrol if it lies within our power.

Yeah all these training schools specifically designed for that purpose will still be a better option if it's affordable
