TWO FRIENDS, TWO DIFFERENT ROADS __BUT WHICH ONE TRULY FAILED?___#89(ED2)

Everyone has seen two friends who started life together but ended up on different paths.

Two friends finished secondary school same year. One entered university immediately, graduated at 21, got a good job in Lagos. The other stayed in the village, could not afford school fees, started farming and small business.

After 5 years, the one in Lagos is wearing suit, posting fine pictures, traveling. The one in the village is still there, working under sun, with muddy hands.

If the village one keeps comparing, joy will disappear. He will feel like he has failedd He will feel like life has left him behind........But is that true?

No.

Because comparison makes people forget that life is not one single road._____there are diffeerent roaads, differeent seaasons, differeent definitioons of success.

Why does comparisoon steeal joy?

Because it blinds peopplee to their own blessingss. The person in Lagos may have money and fine pictures, but may not have peace of mind. Every night, traffic, pressure from boss, high rent, anxiety..,.... The person in the village may not have big money, but may have peace, fresh food, community, and freedom from debt......... If both keep comparing, both will never be happy, because each one is ignoring what they already have.

Comparison also steals joy because it is based on incomplete story......... On social media, people only show the beautiful part. Nobody posts their failures, their loans, their hospital bills, their loneliness at night. When a person compares their full real life to someone's edited highlight, sadness is automatic.

And another reason is that comparison turns life into competition that was never meant to be. Some people bloom early, some bloom late....... The flower that blooms late does not become less beautiful....... In this multiverse, everyone exists on a different timeline, with different struggles and different opportunities.

So how can peopple stop this thief of jooy?

By learning to celebrate others without measuring self. When a friend succeeds, it is possible to say "I am happy for you" and still be content with personal journey. Another person's light does not dim personal light.

By practicing gratitude. Every day, remembering small wins — health, family, a skill learned, a small amount saved — helps to keep the mind focused on what matters.

By focusing on personal growth instead of other people's speed......... Life becomes more peacefull when the goal is to be betteer than who the person was yesterdayy, not better than anotheer person.

Joy returns when comparison stops. Peace reeturns when peopple acceppt that their path is vaalid, even if it looks diffeerent.

Your journey is yours. Their journeey is theirs....... Both can be beautifull without needingg to be the same.
