Choosing a Path (strategy)

What path will you choose?

Before we get to the voting aspect I'd like for people to think of what path/strategy they would like to go down. In essence it boils down to 3 paths

Path 1 : Prioritizing Buybacks

If this is your strategy , your votes will likely reflect that you want to prioritize buybacks over account growth. When faced with decisions like the buyback budget, you will likely vote for the highest buyback budget option available.

This reduces the debt via burns of the tokens bought back.

The downside: The account will grow slowly and may remain stagnant. It's possible the holdings will go down significantly over time. Eventually the buyback budget will run out and will have to wait to be "refilled". On the flipside many tokens will have been burned in the process.

Path 2: Prioritizing account growth

This is the opposite of the prioritizing buyback strategy. In this strategy your vote will reflect that of someone who wants to grow the account as the first priority and buybacks as a secondary priority .You will likely vote for the smallest buyback budget.

The downside: Buybacks will be limited during this time. Smaller budget and less tokens bought back. However, the account will grow and be more sustainable for the long term.

Path 3 : The hybrid

With this strategy ,both options are "even". You will likely vote somewhere in the middle prioritizing balance .

It is possible that the other hodlers may vote in a direction you did not want to go. Please don't stress about this. About every 6 months we will hold more rounds of voting ad allow folks to change their vote and adjust their voting strategy based on the results(and account holdings) from the previous voting round.

This way we can all adapt. Maybe prioritizing account growth is chosen at first but the second round of voting , hodlers decide to switch it and prioritize buybacks.

It's also possible that we collectively will have no choice but to prioritize account growth eventually, if the buybacks budget runs out.

It's all part of the the game and adjusting as things unfold.
