[Anime] First Impressions of the Lv2 Merchant Isekai!

I started watching an anime that I kept seeing in YouTube shorts with some really cool scenes of the protagonist, but it was when I saw the trailer that I got interested in the chill isekai style it portrayed. The anime's name itself, Chillin' in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers, already hinted at this, but I never remembered to save the name to look it up later.

According to the information I found, it's an anime produced by J.C.Staff, and a curious thing is that I always see a different studio associated with each anime, almost as if new studios are emerging. If you have some time, check out about 10 anime and you'll notice that the vast majority of them are different. It's quite curious and something I rarely see anyone talk about.

First Impressions of the Lv2 Merchant Isekai!

The first episode and my initial impressions of the work already indicated that it would be quite easy to watch, nothing too incredible with a dense story full of plot twists like Attack on Titan or Death Note, where you never know what will happen next.

The story begins a little differently from other isekai. Normally you expect the protagonist to be a human, living on Earth and then somehow transported to another world. In this case, the protagonist, named Banaza, was already a merchant in a fantasy world where there was prejudice against the demihuman race, but he treated them well.

At the end of a brief conversation, he ends up being "selected," in his words, and is transported, appearing in the Magical Kingdom of Kylrode castle. One detail I noticed is that when Banaza was summoned, it appeared that he was already number 198, giving the viewer the impression that they hadn't yet found anyone to solve the problem with the enemy forces of this world.

As soon as he was summoned, they checked his status, because heroes usually receive some kind of "divine revelation" from the god of that world, since they start at level 1, something like that. However, to the surprise of no one who read the anime's title—especially since the purpose of the work is to be chill and not a drama—the protagonist had no powers.

And to make the scene more "different" and funny, a well-dressed, strong hero with high stats appeared next to the protagonist—a classic, standard hero. This caused Banaza to be completely excluded, showing that the king of this country is not compassionate.

The king is not a good person at all, because they didn't send him back and simply sent him to a territory 20 days away from the capital by carriage, to live in the Delaveza Forest, where the enemy army had a nearby base. Furthermore, the forest was full of monster miasma.

Upon arriving there, he defeats 3 slimes, levels up, and then his abilities are unlocked at level 2, gaining infinite stats and acquiring many skills, one of which is the purification skill he uses to eliminate all enemies in the forest and any type of miasma, going straight from level 2 to 300+

After that, the story picks up speed, with the protagonist returning to the capital via teleportation, taking on an escort mission back to the forest using teleportation again, and upon arriving there, he engages in combat and sends the group of The adventurers who teleported back with him ended the episode. One detail is that this ability is quite rare in this world, and he used it three times almost consecutively, haha.

Comecei a ver um anime que por diversas vezes ficava aparecendo alguns shorts no youtube sobre, com alguma cenas bem legais do protagonista, mas foi quando vi o trailer que me interessei no estilo isekai chill que passava. O próprio nome do anime Chillin' in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers já indicava isso, mas acabou que eu nunca me lembrava de guardar o nome para procurar depois.

De acordo com as informações obtidas, é um anime produzido pela J.C.Staff e uma curiosidade é que sempre vejo um estúdio diferente em cada anime, quase como se surgissem novos estúdios. Se tiver um tempo confira uns 10 animes e perceba que a grande maioria deles são diferentes. É algo bem curioso e que eu raramente vejo alguém falar sobre.

O primeiro episódio e as minhas primeiras impressões da obra já indicaram que seria algo bem tranquilo de assistir, nada muito incrível com uma história densa e cheia de plot twists como um Attack on Titan, ou Death Note, que você nunca sabe o que acontecerá em seguida.

A história começa de uma forma um pouco diferente dos isekais. Normalmente você espera que o protagonista seja um humano, vivendo na Terra e depois seja transportado de alguma forma para outro mundo. Nesse caso, o protagonista chamado Banaza já era um mercador de um mundo de fantasia, em que havia preconceito com a raça dos demihuman, mas ele os tratava bem.

Ao final de uma conversa breve, ele acaba sendo "selecionado" nas palavras dele e é transportado aparecendo no castelo do Magical Kindgdom of Kylrode. Um detalhe que eu observei é que quando o Banaza foi summonado apareceu que ele já era o número 198 e isso dá a impressão para o espectador que até então não conseguiram ninguém para resolver o problema com as forças inimigas desse mundo.

Logo que ele foi summonado verificaram o status dele, porque geralmente os herois recebem algum tipo de "divine revelation" do deus daquele mundo, por começarem no nível 1, alguma coisa nesse sentido. Entretanto, para a surpresa de ninguém que leu o título do anime, até porque o propósito da obra é ser chill e não um drama, o protagonista não tinha nenhum poder.

E para deixar a cena mais "diferente" e engraçada ao lado do protagonista apareceu um heroi bem vestido, forte e com os status bem elevados, um clássico heroi padrão. Isso fez com que o Banaza fosse excluído completamente, mostrando que o rei desse país não é solidário.

O rei não é nem um pouco gente boa, porque não enviaram ele de volta e simplesmente mandaram para um território que fica 20 dias de distância da capital de carruagem, para ele viver na Delaveza Forest, onde o exército inimigo tinha uma base próxima. Além disso, a floresta estava cheia de miasma dos monstros.

Chegando lá, ele derrota 3 slimes sobe de nível e então suas habilidades são desbloqueadas no nível 2, ficando com os status infinitos e conseguindo muitas skills, sendo uma delas a skill de purificação que ele usa para eliminar todos os inimigos da floresta e qualquer tipo de miasma saindo do nível 2 e indo direto para o 300+

Depois disso a história já pega uma velocidade gigante, com o protagonista voltando para a capital com teletransporte, pegando uma missão de escolta de volta para a floresta usando o teletransporte denovo, chegando lá ele entra em combate e manda o grupo de aventureiros que foi junto dele de volta com teletransporte e com isso termina o episódio. Um detalhe é que essa habilidade é bem rara nesse mundo e ele usou 3 vezes quase em seguida rs.
