Nemesis is a TV show about a police officer who was obsessed with catching a criminal who is so smart and evasive.

My thoughts

The plot

I actually love the storyline. It's one that keeps you interested and eager to see how everything gets resolved. It's like a wild chase that promises an epic ending.

The story is centered on the character Isaiah Stiles, who is a cop. He lost his field partner during a heist. Since then, he has been obsessed with catching the person who shot his partner.
It gets more interesting because of the fact that this culprit is the leader of a gang that have carried out several sophisticated, well planned heists.

Character development

I love how the characters were developed in this series. One in particular was the father of Isaiah Stiles. We were made to believe that Isaiah didn't have a good relationship with his father and it was because his father was into crime in the past. To be honest, I felt sorry for for the old man at first because Isaiah wouldn't let him meet his grandson. But as the movie progressed, I got to see how much of a bad influence Isaiah's father was. He was ruthless and in fact, hadn't learned from his mistakes in the past.

Another character whose development I loved is Coltrane Wilder. The show displays how he is the brain behind his group's heists. His is a very smart one. They operate so cleanly. The thing about Coltrane is that he is meticulous and barely makes mistakes. Plus, he always has a backup plan. Coltrane cares so much about his family and the ones close to him.
The mind game, scheming and chase between Isaiah Stiles and Coltrane Wilder is what gives the movie life.

The acting

The acting in this series is top notch in my opinion. There's a lot of emotions poured into it by the casts. It makes watchers connect more with the show. The major characters were immersed in their roles and it was visible from the onset. As an audience, I could feel the emotions alongside the actors.

Still on emotions, Nemesis is a series that in a way, centers on family. Isaiah Stiles for instance had his family fall apart just because of his obsession with catching Coltrane Wilder. Isaiah was just too focused on work that his bonding with his son was shaky and his wife was unhappy.
Coltrane took his family serious that he was willing to let go of the life he knows just to please his wife.

My standout moment

One standout moment for me in this series was the scene where a shootout broke out in the middle of the road between Coltrane Wilder's gang and the police. I'm a huge fan of action. The gun fight in that scene was epic. It was minutes upon minutes of shooting. That scene had a mixture of heartbreak, excitement, intense suspense and it caused an adrenaline rush for me.

So if you love movies with action, gun fights, police investigation and things like that, you would definitely love this one.
