Let me take you all to the physics world, this is something most scientists should know by now, and this should also be an additional knowledge to the non-scientists in the house....
Did you know the reason why we see lightening before hearing the sound of thunder strike is because of the difference in their speed ? light travels at a speed of 3.0 x 10^8 metre per seconds and the speed of sound travels at 340 metre per seconds

hehehe, if we are to convert the speed of sound and light to a more understandable figure, speed of light is 300 million metre in 1 sec and that of sound is 340 metre in 1 sec, compare them and you see which is the fastest lol
