RE: Hive-Naija Weekend Engagement #66 - “RHYMES”

(edited)

Wow. Taking me back to those days where we don't have to think of what to eat, or what to wear or even how to put food on the table but our lives were lively and free. We love singing rhymes and my favourite then was...

"Ba ba black sheep
Have you any wool?
Yes sir yes sir
Three bags full
One...for the master
One...for the dame
One...for the little boy that lives down the lane...."

This was a rhyme that lived rent-free in my head 😅😅 and I remember how I'd sing going round the house, especially when there's holiday or mid term break. I hate going to school then 😅😅 and at the sound of "Holiday is coming...." I feel so excited and ready to bid my friends goodbye.

So many rhymes we sang wrongly then, only for us to know the actual lyrics later on.
