Only a few weeks ago, Finidi George was appointed to lead the men's senior national team. By the way, he was a team-mate of Daniel Amokachi(the player dancing above) back then.
Ofcourse Finidi is a name a lot of Nigerians remember with fondness because of his quality when he was a player. He was nicknamed "Finito" for his exquisite brilliance with crosses especially at a time he was the world's best number 7.
His recent appointment divided opinions, some didn't want an indigenous coach for this hot-seat kind of job, some felt he wasn't the best indigenous coach available, some like me did not mind having him, especially as I view him as a foreign coach, having started his coaching career in Spain.

Well I've never seen a list that impressed everyone..

Trust them boys in the local league! Not bad to see two there( or let's approximate it to 4- Nwabali in South Africa & the guy in Tanzania).
Now we are gradually being delivered from a squad of few midfielders and so many defenders we are used to seeing under the last two previous regimes of Rohr and Peseiro.
Well in defence, Semi Ajayi is fantastic. I guess Bassey will pair him. Erm Bassey is the only left footer in that defence. Leave am like that, if Tomiyasu fit play for left, Finidi can convert someone. I don secretly dey tell Omeruo bye-bye before sef.Wow ìt's an embarrassment of options in tĥe forwad dept. For me if Trossard was a Nigerian, I would won't mind playing a lone striker and putting Trossard just behind him, as Trossard like a Ĺampard, will give me goals. We don't have such an attacking midfielder, but we still have sufficient quality in midfield though.
By and large this squad gives a very good feeling. I think oga Finito means business. No sentiments! 👍-
