Transport Business Is Not A Bad One But...

There are different paths for everyone to choose and walk in. We all have different carrier path. Some chose Medicine, some engineering, some farmers, while some chose to do business for a living.
In the eastern part of Nigeria, business is the real deal. Once somebody manages to important goods from china or from anywhere into the country, they will attach that country's name to their own name. You will hear something like; Emeka Malaysia. Emeka China. lol.
Most people in my friend circle are into business. Some have small business while some are no longer as small as they used to be, though their business is not yet big. I think its a good thing to be surrounded by business-minded people because I get to learn quite a lot when we hang out.
Sometimes, the money they talk about do tempt me to quite nursing and go into business full time. I actually dream of starting my own business. I plan on going into agricultural sector because from the look of things, that is where money is. However, most times, i get scared of venturing.
Anyways, this post is not about my dream business and why i'm scared of venturing into it, but it is about a topic from Hive Naija: "What business do you admire people doing that you've never tried before and may never try?" So, here goes...
I've seen quite a lot of businesses. Some are really nice and tempting to start, but then, the risk involved can be discouraging. Nonetheless, people enter these businesses without fear of failing. I guess i still don't have the zeal of a profound entrepreneur.
I really admire people that have their own travel company. transport is a huge business. It creates steady cash flow if properly managed. The interesting thing is that, profits gotten from this business can be used to take care of the business and even open many branches. However, it all boils down to how properly the business is managed.
Here in my country, there is another type of transport business. This type requires somebody to buy a vehicle for somebody to manage (drive around like as a taxi) and the person will be giving daily returns to the owner of the vehicle. When the driver pays to an extent, they will become the owner of the vehicle. We call it Hire Purchase in my country.
I admire this business, but i will never do it because of the high risk involved. I know of someone that is into this business. Sometimes, he gets his daily returns, but in most cases, his drivers always cut his money short. Their reason will be that the vehicle had issues which accounts for why they were not able to meet up with what they were supposed to pay for that day.
No cap, these people are getting returns. I admire the business from afar, but i honestly cant do such business because the stress in this type of business is too much. Me that dont have strength to talk. lol.
