RE: Sam's Hangout #72- GENUINE CONNECTION ON HIVE

Omo, I'm still a newbie on the Hive blockchain o! but I'm sure I will make alot of friends here because I'm very good at building connections both online and offline. Most of my friends are online.

I'm a Forex trader, and in the course of paying different mentors online years back, I made a lot of friends. I can tell you for free that I don't even have up to that number of friends offline. These online friends are very real to me. Even though we haven’t seen each other in real life for years now, I know we’re real to ourselves.

We have a group where we banter and talk freely. Even if someone fakes it to the public, they don’t fake it in our private group. The friendships we built online are genuine, and that’s because there was something common that linked us all together.

Now, if anyone in the group has a financial problem and drops it in the chat, boom it gets solved. This is because we understand each other and we’re real with one another.

My take on Genuine connection here on Hive is this: Don’t be too quick to ask whether someone is real or fake. If someone shows you qualities you like in a friend, then connect with them and also bring value to the table. Let it not be a one sided thing. As you’re gaining from the person, let them gain from you too.

Even if you don’t have anything to offer for now, use gratitude appreciate the person. Gratitude is a powerful way to keep any type of friendship. Just like I see many people tagging others they’ve met on Hive to thank them it really means a lot.

Let me also use this opportunity to appreciate the first person who noticed my absence here on Hive and offered to help me with any question I might have. I appreciate you, the great writer I met just two months of being here @hopestylist. Thank you so much
