Well this blog here on #hive-engine via @ecency would reflect exactly what i think and how i feel about everything.
We live in a time where things have completely cjanged and making the struggles even harder and also the question “do you” has become a philosophy something wayy depper than a question and most times not just advice. Independence is celebrated more than anything in this present generation, achievements as well also to be self focused is encouraged. Unlike our good old days ,personal success is the goal! Yes i know that individual freedom is important but still there is a growing question we need to ask. Dont you think that extreme individualism has started to weaken society?
Individualism in itself is not negative. It encourages ambition. It pushes innovation. It allows people to express themselves without fear. Many great advancements came from individuals who thought differently and chose their own path. But the problem begins when independence turns into isolation.
Extreme individualism teaches people that they owe nothing to anyone and It quietly removes the sense of collective responsibility where everyone belongs to each other and responsible for one another whereby making communism optional. Family becomes secondary in this context as well not to even talk about neighbors who will automatically become strangers. When everyone is focused only on personal gain, cooperation slowly dissapears from the system.
Another consequence is the decline of empathy. If success is purely personal, then struggle is seen as personal failure. We begin to believe that people who are struggling simply didn’t try hard enough or are not doing the right thing. But in reality there are a bunch of troubles. Structural problems, economic challenges and unequal opportunities are ignored because the mindset becomes something personal already which makes wveryone responsible to figure it out themselves.

When the individualism becomes too strong, social trust also suffers because peop’e wont relate freely anymore. Strong societies are built on shared values, cooperation and mutual support just like the communities of old times. We all know that when extreme individualism dominates the system people stop investing in public systems ,they would rather prioritize private solutions and move on.
At the same time, extreme individualism can create deep loneliness humans are social beings we were not created to be alone and we are made to thrive in connection. In some cases independence may cause emotional detachment and thats why people now feel isolated even in crowded cities.
Look…the goal is not to remove individual freedom i mean working together has already made us free thats why the system and governent brings in identity markers like age gender religion ethnicity and all to cause division but the goal should be balance! Any healthy society allows personal growth even in the process of encouraging responsibility toward others. We can pursue success while still caring about community. We can build ourselves without forgetting we are part of something larger.
I think the real goal should be making eachother become better instead of suffering harder to thrive alone.
