I love the way you ended it... They definitely have their own reasons, and believe me that's what any parent would have done. They understood the way things are, but then they are only trying to protect you just so it won't feel like they let go of their child just because things weren't going as planned, and they might have had few experiences same way even I have seen of some kids who left home and turn out into something else... The lady at the end of the day, even till now isn't enrolled in any school, she got pregnant less than a year of leaving home..and now most people point the blame finger to her parents.
