Another Day to Be Grateful – A Blessed Sunday with Loved Ones

Hello to all Family and Friends around the world!

It's been a while since I last posted here, and it feels good to be back sharing another glimpse of our family moments from yesterday, which was Sunday.

"The family that prays together stays forever." – Father Patrick Peyton

This morning the sun rose beautifully, as if there were no super typhoon coming at all. Despite the news of an upcoming super typhoon, and with our municipality listed among the areas expected to be affected.

That's why my husband asked me to get ready with the kids because we were going to church. I was so happy because it's been two months since we last attended Mass in church.

After we ate breakfast, I quickly gave my three children a bath. I started with the baby first because if her older siblings went first, we didn't arrive or go in the church but their clothes would definitely get dirty. After bathing and dressing them, I took a quick bath and got myself ready. Then we all headed to church.

I was very thankful that we were given the chance to attend Mass again.

After the homily, my husband came to me and said we were going to Mt. Province to visit his sibling, because they were going to have a devotion at their house. Apparently, their eldest child, our nephew had been seeing something unusual especially at night when he is asleep.

I was a bit disappointed because the Mass wasn’t over yet, but we still went because the travel could take 2 hours. I just prayed and gave thanks to the Lord for everything and left silently.

As we are nearly arrived we are welcome by clouds and rain shower, as in 0 visibility but thanks to God for the guidance we arrived safe.

It was a two-hour trip before we finally arrived. When we got there, the kids were so happy that they hug and immediately started playing with their cousins.

We spoke to our nephew, and he shared his story with us while we waited for their church leaders who would be leading the devotion. When they arrived, we began praying the Rosary together. Yes, they are Catholic, but still we joined them in prayer. We may have different church but we are still Worshiping one God.

By the time we finished, it was already dark outside. We had dinner with them and their church mates, and we truly enjoyed the meal especially the native chicken and the delicious soup (which I really loved, hehe!). I forgot to take photos of the food because we are busy eating and having a stories while laughing.

Even though it was already late, we had to head home because the typhoon was expected to arrive that evening and no one left at home. We said our goodbyes and wished everyone good night before making our way back home.

While traveling back home, the rain and wind had already started and continued until we arrived. As soon as we got home, we cleaned up ourselves, changed into fresh clothes, and went straight to bed. It was already 9 PM, and the kids were all very sleepy.

Thank you for taking time to read my simple family blog, I truly appreciate your time and support.

Once again, this is Malou, reminding you to keep on smiling.
Mabuhay!

It's wonderful that despite the long travel and the approaching typhoon you were able to attend mass, join the devotion and enjoy precious moments with your kids and relatives.
