The crow the bus shelter and I

Hello Hello to all Hivians, Hivers and indeed any bird lovers that are reading this.

Some of my favourite posts to write on Hive are the feathered friends posts, especially as the rewards go to buying their food in the park.

Birds and especially corvids can be so fluffing smart not to mention funny!

And this one was both and I just knew this would make for a perfect story for the community, although no one picture stands out, let's see what I choose as I narrate the feathered tail!

This happened on Tuesday when I had to do some errands all over town, you can read about it in my Sunny stroll during errands should you so desire!

I headed to the bus stop and noticed that I was in a race!

image.png

Yes a crow had the same idea, and it was a race as to who would get there first!

image.png

I was at a disadvantage

Yes dozey me was standing taking photos of the crow lol!

image.png

So I started to zoom, it was okay as according to the bus app it was still a good 2 minutes away.

image.png

Beaten by a crow!

image.png

At this point I had lost the race. The crow was in the shelter..

I have to admit I was chucking to myself. What the fluff was the crow doing?

image.png

Do you see it? There is an empty fast food wrapper ...

image.png

He came up empty!

image.png

Nothing there so he was about to cross the road in search of this next possible meal!

image.png

Another bus stop across the road, I am sure another possible target!

image.png

Safely crossing the road!

image.png

He was making a beeline or should that be a crowline for the car..

image.png

Car tyre pecker?

image.png

Nope, he gave it a miss and headed towards the pavement!

image.png

Safely across to find another human to race!

image.png

image.png

This post though, is an entry for this week's Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 258 hosted by the wonderful @nelinoeva in the fantasticly fun Feathered Friends community on Hive

image.png

image.png

And I shall pick this one for the entry

image.png

That was a very tricky choice to make and a process of elimination. None of them really stood out, as it was more the story that made the impression on me lol!

This one won it because I like his left leg in motion and the fact he is tilting his head and you get the impression he is thinking should I or shouldn't I peck that tyre!

What do you think? Was that your favourite?

Poor crow came up empty at both bus stops, after all that energy expended to beat you there! They really are funny birds that have learned to live off of human scraps, many probably have forgotten how to live without humans around for the free food. Great pictures, none stand out to me either, but how funny!

Hehe yeah it was the whole story that got me. And sunshine and a blue sky ... did you see that hehe! Seriously though some parts in the south of England had rain every day this year, that is fluffing mental.
Crows are awesome though and sure will see what waste the humans have not used up!

Those fellas are quite bold aren't they?

0E-8 BEE

They are, bold and smart. Made for a fun wee minute though.

No fear of being smashed by the car tyres, that's a bold crow there. 😂

Yeah bold and smart luchyl!

I think this guy targeted you, as he know that you put birds feed frequently at the park, so he might take his chance to follow you, so maybe next time you will spare some food for him. whhat a smart guy. !LOLZ !PIMP

Hehehe. Did it check if there's car coming before crossing?😛.

0E-8 BEE

They are smart and check the road for cars, seagulls are not so smart 🤣

0E-8 BEE

haha silly crow, he probably knows that you follow him and take pictures of him, so he does a lot of things lol. 🤣 also he's very healthy, not obviously hungry. 😅

0E-8 BEE

Hehe they are experts at getting food, and humans are so wasteful there are plenty of pickings 🤣

0.00000590 BEE

Hahaha yeah. I thinks so too. :D

0E-8 BEE

You've become a real crow paparazzi, Ed! Hahaha. If the crow had known you were chasing it, it would have confronted you. There's a saying here: “Raise crows and they'll peck your eyes out.” Hugs

0E-8 BEE

Hehe crow paprazzi, oh i like that Nancy! They are very clever birds and that is an interesting saying! They do have dangerous beaks 🤣

0E-8 BEE

Haha, racing with a crow. 😃
Crows can eat almost everything and fast food would be a feast, sadly there was just empty wrapper.
