One of my favourite days because it means a post on Hive will be written by me, and I get to hear other music that Hivers and Hiveians enjoy. Well for the select band that participate in ttt anyway!

This is our Tuesday music post, and after a couple of weeks being derailed so to speak we are back on track and that means ...
... We are going back to my Silver Chronicles post of a few months ago My Soundtrack for the 80s my favourite decade
Quite a self-explanatory title and it is my inspiration for the next few posts on ttt!
The year is now 1984 and we are back up in this neck of the woods!
It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!
@ablaze started #ttt 281 weeks ago! Go check out what it is all about on his latest post Todd Terje for Three Tune Tuesday - Week 280 - win some HBI
Do go support @ablaze as without him we would not have this mental fun musical activity that you can win HSBI from! I am happy to be one of the SIX sponsors and it is kinda fun checking out music from all over this global village of ours!

For this week’s spin back in in the vinyl time machine, we are landing squarely in 1984 with one of Scotland’s finest indie-pop outfits ~ The Bluebells.
Formed in Glasgow during the vibrant post-punk / new-wave explosion, The Bluebells had a distinct sound defined by chiming 12-string acoustic guitars, folk melodies, and those earwom infectious pop hooks.
Guided by guitarist and songwriter Robert Hodgens (better known as Bobby Bluebell) alongside brothers David and Ken McCluskey, their debut album Sisters hit the shelves in 1984. I must admit that is all I remember from them!
Here are three standout tunes from 1984 and that Sisters album...
Enough shite from me, straight to the point now, here we go... tell me if you sing along!!!

The quintessential Bluebells tune and the one most people will remember. Young at Heart was co-written with Bananarama’s Siobhan Fahey (now that is a fun trio I should do a ttt on!). While it reached the UK Top 10 in 1984, it took on legendary status almost a decade later in 1993 when a Volkswagen advert propelled it straight to UK Number 1. A timeless classic that never fails to lift the room.

Released in the spring of 1984 ahead of Sisters, "I'm Falling" gave the band their first taste of significant chart success, cracking the UK Top 15.

Originally released earlier in their career, "Cath" was re-recorded and re-released in late 1984.

Which was your favourite tune? Or have you never heard of them?

Note: The 3 YouTube videos that I have shared are not owned by me, I am simply spreading great music on Hive.
I wish that you all have a brilliant happy fun and terrific Tuesday until we meet again enjoy your tunes 🎶🎵🎶
The images and ramblings are from me, with much assistance from gemini on the verbage, the mad Scotsman TengoLoTodo unless otherwise stated.
