There could only be one band today!

Judging by Nano Banana's attempts to turn me into Nick Heyward of Haircut 100 I am that sloth with a quiff @slothlydoesit
Talking of Haircut 100 that's our band today in ttt!
I made a post a couple of weeks ago My Soundtrack for the 80s my favourite decade
Quite a self-explanatory title and it is my inspiration for the next few posts on ttt!
It is Tuesday and that of course means that it's #ttt or #threetunetuesday and so it's time to share some tunes with you!
@ablaze started #ttt 245 weeks ago! Go check out what it is all about on his last post Red Hot Chilli Peppers Stadium Arcadiumfor Three Tune Tuesday - Week 244 - win some HBI
Do go support @ablaze as without him we would not have this mental fun musical activity that you can win HSBI from! I am happy to be one of the SIX sponsors and it is kinda fun checking out music from all over this global village of ours!

For this week's #ThreeTuneTuesday, Iβm switching gears from the gritty streets of the Mod Revival where I posted about the Jam to the bright world of Haircut 100.
Hailing from Beckenham in south-east London, these lads were pretty fluffing good at we called "New Pop" in the early 80s. While the charts were full of synth-heavy acts, Haircut 100 who were led by the charismatic Nick Heyward, yes that was my reference on the lead image, had a fun blend of guitars and brass sections that made you want to move. They were sharp and a bit boy next door lol!
What makes them perfect for my #TTT selection this weekis their name.
As we on Hive are currently navigating the HBD Haircut rule, I couldn't think of a more apt soundtrack!
Weller of the Jam had his gritty commentary, but Heyward had a knack for capturing the sunny, optimistic side of British youth culture.
Just like my lastt #ttt and The Jam, they burned brightly and briefly, with the original lineup famously splintering at the very height of their success in 1983.
Nick Heyward just like Paul WEller went on to a stellar solo career, but that moment in 1982 when they ruled the airwaves was when they were at their absolute best!
Yep forget those red markets and be happy and have a fantastic daaaaay!

Your post has just been curated and upvoted by @Ecency , keep up the good work !
Yet another one I have never heard of. Guess I know what I am doing tomorrow now...
I've never heard of this band, listening while writing, not quite my kind of music, but I guess you would not be surprised, Ed. Hive haircuts must come to an end now!
Wow, surprised I never heard of them. Kinda of have some catchy tunes. Interesting name too.
Loving the Sloth Quiff to be honest!
Don't think I've heard of Haircut 100 before, but I'm hopeless when it comes to band names! The first song sounds really familiar, can't put my finger on why and I'm sure I've heard 'fantastic day' before.
Nice TTT update! Keep on buzzing!
I never heard this band before, Super Ed. It's quite catchy hehe
Let's see how this Hive haircut rule works and how things unfold ;)
Ps That hairstyle suits you π
it seems you pick the misterious band Ed, since almost no one knows them.
if they don't know, than I don't stand I chance.
but great pick you have there.
