Hello Hello Hivians.
What gorgeous weather we seem to be having in the UK! Can't help but feel there is a sting left in winter's tale yet.
I hope not, and I hope that April showers are confined to the nighttime!
I woke up late today and was sitting up in bed and the sun was streaming in the window. I actually felt quite warm!
Last night though, wow it was blowing a fluffing hoolie.
Cabin fever is something I feel like I had. The last time I went out was on Thursday, the result of trying to shake of this fluffing infuriating cold once and for all. Now I geel better but just tired!
So I went out this afternoon to the shop, I had to get bread for Mrs T's work food tomorrow.
This is what I saw!
Okay yes I am exaggerating but I am glad I hadn't been dreaming of the wind, it was real and was blowing things around.
It did remind me that bin day is tomorrow.
Today was spring forward day as the clocks went forward an hour, which should make things easier again as some time differences are aligned back to 0.
For example Nigeria and the UK are back to no time difference until October I think.
I was thankful to go out and the wind had gone. So it was quite warm to be honest.
Winter is still what I dress for, so was wrapped up in scarf and dickie and all sorts. On the way back I was roasting, which is a good thing!
The park entrance was really inviting. Which reminds me that I need to be home tomorrow to wait for our latest delivery of swan and duck food.
So I resisted the urge to go into the park, as it was late with the clock springing forward. This was 4.30pm when my body was saying it was only 3.30pm.
The trees are still naked and wearing their winter attire. It does mean that you can take some cracking bird pictures between the branches and twigs.
But that is not the purpose of this post.
However, did you see the black specs in the trees.
Corvids is what I spy!
I have observed their branch perching before and I don't know if it is the tree strength but the most you seem to get is 4 ravens on a branch.
It is a royal tossup between 2 and 3 ravens on a branch.
Here in the UK it is Mothering Sunday or Mother's Day. It hs been a few years since my mother passed away, but I treat it like another day to be nice to women, live every day.
Of course it is different to the date for Mother's Day in America.
I can't remember all the countries that celebrate the same Mother's Day as we do.
Irrespective of what day you celebrate I wish all mothers a very happy day ....
... and if your mum is still alive.

Glad you survived the wind storm and didn't get blown away like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz! lol You got some nice pictures in there, at least your trash bin hadn't blown down the street.
The park looks like a good place to escape the indoors, hopefully in warms up a bit soon. I wish they would get rid of day light savings time altogether, it's annoying to have the time change isn't it? I lost my mom over ten years ago, it's a rough thing. Sorry to hear you lost yours too more recently. I really don't celebrate Mother's Day anymore being a swinging bachelor and my kid is grown up! It's always good to remember to be kind to women, not just on Mother's Day, you are correct.
I hope it's a good day over there!
hehe the Wizard of Oz, now that brings back memories!
The park is great and I love that it is only just over five minutes walk away.
It really was a blessing during Covid lockdowns.
The weather was cracking today. Hopefully it will stay for a few days, as I fancy taking in some sights to photograph in the sunshine!

In Venezuela, Mother's Day is the second Sunday of May. On that day it is my turn to cook because I am the only one who is not a mother at home. Good thing the weather is improving, soon I will see the color of the Scottish sea in spring. For now, I am having fun watching the birds on bare branches. Hugs without schedules, Ed!
Yeah I think you guys are the same as the US. Wow so they get you to cook because you are not a mother. Interesting, I thought it would be taking turns to cook for your mother!
The weather well it is good, but it won't last haha!
this week I shall be taking you places in the sun, so a big sun hug to Venezuela :)
Thanks for the congratulations to all the mothers of the world, for us, here in Venezuela, the day is celebrated in the month of May, month in which we celebrate many dates among them the Day of the cross, whose meaning is to welcome the rainy season and with it the abundance of mother earth.
Greetings, good week to you and may you recover completely from the flu 🙂 🙂
Thank you and I hope you are habing a wonderful new week. Ah yes I know you guys celebrate on the same day as the Americans do in May.
The Day of the cross sounds interesting although I am not a fan of rain. As long it rains at night, then I am happy :)
Ours is every 2nd Sunday of May. You must be ok now for you already stroll around and notice those ravens on the branch😌😁.
Yes you are one of the countries that celebrate it in May. Sometimes we have to do what we have to do. I needed some fresh air as it was beautiful outside!
