Why is the bird 🐦 called RUDDY TURNSTONES?

I am glad you asked! Here we call something ruddy instead of swearing, and also
the term "ruddy" is used to describe a reddish, dull red, or reddish-brown color. That is the colour of the birds.

They are called Turnstones, because that is what they do to find food... they literally turn stones!
