Our Indian culture is really very understandable. In which different importance is given to every relationship. The relationship between brother and sister is on a different level. When they are young, there is fighting. When they grow up, they are ready to help. When they become elders, the relationship between brother and sister is one of warmth for each other. In my opinion, Raksha Bandhan is more special than a festival for brother and sister. @sanjeevm

Yes, the brother sister relationship is the next big relation after parent child - knowing each other from birth, no one else can understand them better, even their spouse. They fight, they compromise, they tease each other but then they care so much for each other.
Your point is true to some extent. But I believe that parents and children stay together for two stages of life. Whereas siblings stay together at all stages which gives their relationship a different height. I salute your thoughts.
