I'm glad your move went well in the end, but imagine if it had rained! Those are great tips! Keeping a watchful eye is vital, especially when the movers arrive late and start rushing, as happened with my move! Having lived in the same house for 50 years was quite a shock to the system.

I can't even imagine that, that would have taken months of planning, like what to dispose, what to take, quite an intense effort.
I actually started giving a lot of stuff away a while back. Sold my B&B units with furniture and even some of the main house furniture. It was still a lot of stuff to move to a storage facility till the house I bought is transferred into my name. The real move is still waiting but should be much easier because it's all packed already.
