RE: A Wednesday Walk from home in Vizcaya Park

Welcome back! 😅 I’m sorry your first impression involved seeing the destruction along the coast after the earthquakes; I still haven't ventured over there—I know I couldn't handle it—though I’m sure I’ll have to at some point. As for Caracas... well, there are areas that were hit hard, but nothing quite like what happened there...

Visiting this park was one of the best things you could have done to ease back into things; it offers that beauty and connection to our surroundings that makes us feel truly at home. I had no idea these beautiful green spaces existed until I read your post—perhaps because the area is far from where I live—but I’m definitely going to schedule a visit to see Parque Vizcaya in person. Sending you a big, warm hug! 🫂

Hola querido Jesus!

The view from the plane is heartbreaking; it's very painful to see so much destruction, and even more so when we know that time is passing and there is no relief for the people who survived the disaster in La Guaira. It's very sad.

Coming home is comforting, even though we always have to adapt to the reality and the new happenings which, as we know, never stop in our country ;).

Vizcaya Park is very beautiful; it isn't very big, but it's beautifully maintained, and the area with the mini-library and the writers' busts alone makes it worth a visit.

Un gran abrazo y gracias por el apoyo 🤗
