I really enjoyed reading your post. My father also attended boarding school as a child, in Pamplona, Colombia, near the Venezuelan border.
Your experience at boarding school taught you a great lesson for life. All schools should teach children about the uselessness of negative thoughts; surely if they learned this, they could live better lives. Thanks for sharing, dear friend @tengolotodo. A big hug from Maracay.

So he went to school in another country? It was a fantastic piece of advice. Thinking about it, we were taught many valuable lessons in life that I have seen so many people struggle with. Yet many of these people think I was the one who was handicapped by not living at home as a child!

My father was born in a border town, and it was much easier for them to study in Colombia than in Venezuela. He spent two or three years there. Happy day, dear friend.
