Hive Open Mic wk#251, for this week's theme "High School" I'll be doing a song from the movie "Pitch Perfect titled Cups" . When I saw this week's theme, this was the first song that came to my mind, but then I felt it wasn't good enough so I began my search for a song that goes in line with the theme. After so much finding, this song was still on my mind because for me, a theme is more than just a theme but a personal reflection. We don't really have to sing a song that has the word high school in it. However the theme of the week resonates with you, flow with it.*

This song was so special to me back when I was in high school and it made me reminisce on those good old days. My friends and I would use our water bottles to make the beat and sing at the top of our lungs. It was a really nice song because it was famous at that time, and almost everyone knew the lyrics. Whenever I remember this song, I also remember one of my best friends in school, her name was "Timi". This was her favorite song of all time, she loved it so much that she made us sing it every Friday hahaha ( I'm sure you're wondering if our water cans got damaged during the making of the beat, the answer is yes!! 😂😂) This song has a lot to do with my highschool days so why not present it and tell everyone how much it meant to me back then.
