Announcing the First-Ever MemeHive Curation Contest

With the initiative of @greywarden100, the MemeHive Community is launching a Meme Theme Curation Contest!.

@greywarden100 holds a total of 13.462% of the total MEME supply. He occupies the first place in the MEME richlist. Five days ago, he published a post narrating his journey with MemeHive tokens. He shared that he is holding 12 million MEME tokens. On Hive, we all know that staking a huge amount of tribal token is the way to gain influence, which gives you increasing control to decide which article will be rewarded and, at the same time, to earn curation rewards. Considering this influence, @greywarden100 solicited ideas from the MemeHive community on how to utilize his stakes strategically. I responded with a few suggestions, and our conversation ended with an agreement asking me to lead the Meme Theme Curation Contest and this is the reason why I am writing this post.

I apologize for the delay. This should have been done yesterday. However, my schedule prevented me. In fact, last night, one of our teachers called me asking for assistance for her father's confinement to the ICU. I didn't expect that would be part of my job. Nevertheless, I called the president and asked him how much we should give.

Again, this afternoon, I received another call. This time it's from my sister asking for prayer; the doctor also asked her to bring her husband to the ICU.

Life indeed is short. Nevertheless, despite the shortness of life, let us continue to cherish life, for it is a gift from above.

Sorry for that diversion. Now, let's talk about the meme curation contest. See the guidelines below:

Objective: Reward meme content based on given criteria while boosting engagement and curation activity.

Theme Choice: You can choose any meme theme you prefer. Examples of themes may include crypto market crash memes, Hive vs. Web2 memes, and bear vs. bull markets. These are just examples. You are free to choose themes outside of these categories.

Guidelines

• Memes must be original or properly credited.

• Include at least 50-100 words to explain your meme.

• Use the hashtag #MEME

• You are free to use whichever frontend you prefer to publish your content. As for the community, you can publish your content using either the Meme Tribe Community on PeakD or the MemeHive frontend. However, since we are just starting, I think the specific community is your choice as long as you use the required hashtag.

Rewards

• 1st Place: 2,000 MEME

• 2nd Place: 1,000 MEME

• 3rd Place: 500 MEME

Since we are still in a testing period, it is better to start small than to promise a big reward only to be frustrated afterwards. With MEME's current ask price of 0.00030750 SWAP.HIVE, 2,000 MEME will be equivalent to 0.615 SWAP.HIVE, 1,000 MEME to 0.3075 SWAP.HIVE, and 500 MEME to 0.15375 SWAP.HIVE. The rewards are not that impressive, but I think it is a good start. It depends on the generosity of the rewarder if he wants to increase the reward in the succeeding contests.
