Has the 'GREAT SPS UNSTAKE' just started (or the first week completed)...?
I've had a stable amount of SPS staked for the past three weeks and been getting a few less VOUCHER every day as a result.
But I got half a VOUCHER more today than yesterday, and the price has dropped signficantly overnight too.
This suggests to me that what I'm calling (the antcipated) 'great SPS unstake' has begun as people gradually unstake before the VOUCHER airdrop ends in order to sell.
Assuming the greater amount of Voucher I received today is due a massive unstake (one quarter per week per total amount unstaked) then this time next week - the 4th of Jan we should see a big phat SPS dump going on.
Repeat for another 4 weeks, by which time it will be February, and by then I think it might be time to start buying, and for me I'll be pooling it with whatever gives me the best return, be that DEC, HIVE or BNB, probably some of each, with more in the higher returns pools.
Personally I'm selling all the way down to $0.15, lower than that and I think I'll start holding and staking again.
Below $0.15 I'll think about starting to accumulate some more, my target is 500K SPS by the end of 2022. I can't imagine that's going to be a problem.
I am not sure this is any great surprise.

Fully anticipated, it's just interesting to note that the unstaking has REALLY just started.
That latest post by SL on SPS seems to have been deliberately timed, probably planned, becuase they also anticipated around now as the dip.
The only thing that interests me is getting 500K of these staked by the end of 2022 - then that'll do me, I can just let the passive returns work their magic and forget about them.
Jan/ Feb is the time to pay attention and jiggle as appropriate.
Interesting predictions on things. I'm not even 3 months into my Splinterlands journey and it has been quite the learning experience. I literally dropped 1.8k of matic for 1.8k sps to drop to about 900 worth, but it was a rude awakening and a great lesson. Good to know I'll see if it drops more and just add to position.
Or would you recommend I sell some at a loss and try to pick some as it dips? Aren't vouchers still going to exist?
Ouch, and MATIC has done well to recently.
I wouldn't advise anyone do anything, but I personally don't sell at a loss and all the SPS I've got staked is staying staked. The only reason I'd unstake it is if I needed the funds to pool with something temporarily for a better return.
Sure looks like it, but there was a constant selling pressure on SPS for a while.
I think there still is - Seems to be plateauing in terms of interest, but I think Spring is going to be pretty huge!
I think so too. I also heard Neal say a few days ago a new tranche of the partners SPS drop was released and it might not be coincidental that the price tanked afterwards.

Great goal 500K is amazing I'm aiming for 10K and that would be a huge accomplishment looking easier to get there with this continued drop.
10K is still pretty decent, and yes DIPs are handy at times!
I've been staking most of mine that I am earning, but I am thinking there will be a point where I should just start selling my excess. Like when I get my next 100 vouchers or something like that.

There are just too many options in this game.
When it hits $0.15 I might stop selling, I dunno. Too many options! DEC is looking tasty right now.
I just moved some more SWAP.HIVE and DEC into the pool. I was going to buy some more but then I remembered I have a bunch sitting in my account in game!

Remember you can pool at 16.00 every day and then out when the snap shot is done.
That's what I do. I also know someone that's got 6M DEC who does the same.
I could do that, but then I would miss out on the sweet sweet BXT rewards. That token is kind of on fire right now and if you stake it you get paid each day in HIVE.
