Liverpool obliterates Ipswich in this weekend's EPL fixtures.

Liverpool are getting back to winning ways after having to get a couple of uninspiring results since the end of Christmas holiday season. Those moments were tough as Liverpool struggled to get goals in a bunch of those games.

However, since last week, Liverpool seems to be getting back to their winning ways again.

For today's game, many people expected Slot to bench Diaz and play Nunez. However, Slot decided to stick with Diaz as no.9 in his starting XI.

First Half

Liverpool got off to a very good start in this half of the game.

I genuinely can't remember the last time Liverpool scored an early goal in a game. However, we managed to get that in today's game. The goal came due to a brilliant pass from Konate. Szobo picked up the pass, did his magic, and got a goal for Liverpool.

Liverpool's performance picked up from that moment. We were pressing really well, winning 1v1 and creating a bunch of chances. This was going on until a weird injury happened to an Ipswich player.

He got that injury from a challenge he made on Cody. Interestingly, Cody didn't feel anything from that tackle. However, the challenger got medical attention and had to be subbed off in the 28th minute.

As the game continued, Salah had a bunch of goalscoring opportunities. He also tried to create a couple of chances. He finally got a pass from Cody and scored from that to put Liverpool two goals ahead. Salah sure struggled to squeeze that goal out while being in a very difficult position. Haha.

Liverpool got one more goal before half-time. This time around, the goal was scored by Cody Gakpo, another player who has been relentless for Liverpool in this game. It was a funny goal which Cody wasn't even expecting to be allowed. Thankfully, the onfield referred gave us the goal.

There's already an agenda coming up about Liverpool's first half performance. I see reasons for that though because we've been playing better in the second half for the most part of this season.

Second Half.

Liverpool also had a good start to the second half of the game. Trent was putting up good performance both on attack and in defense. He even get an assist for the 4th goal of the game which was scored by Cody. That goal was fabulously finished by Cody.

Since Liverpool are already winning comfortably, that gave Slot an opportunity to do quick substitution and bring on Nunez, Endo, and Elliot.

Danns and Chiesa also got their playtime in this second half of the game.

While Liverpool impressed in this game, it's quite surprising to see Liverpool concede a goal in the 90th minute to mess up their chance of getting a clean sheet in the game. I'm sure Alisson and our defenders would be gutted about that. They played well enough to deserve a clean sheet from their performance this game.

Well, it's job done for Liverpool.
