Liverpool gets the maximum point from behind.

Liverpool were on a very good run before the international break. However, that break is over. The Club football we love so much is back, and Manchester City dropped another 3 points in the game they played yesterday.

Anyone who saw that was already waiting to see if Liverpool would take that as an opportunity to widen the points advantage they have in the EPL title race. That's exactly why Liverpool's game of the day draws a lot of attention.

We are lined up against Southampton and the first half was quite dramatic.

First Half;

Southampton crowded their backline with players and made it hard for Liverpool to break the backline. Liverpool sure tried a bunch of times. However, their attempt to penetrate the defense didn't yield any results.

Southampton ended up causing problems for themselves because of their risk-taking. They took a lot of unnecessary risk in their attempt to play out from the back. Liverpool pressed hard and scored a spicy goal from outside the box. The goal came from Szobo.

That opening goal was supposed to be the beginning of Liverpool's domination in the game. However, we slacked in the back and got punished by VAR. A penalty was awarded to Southampton and Kelleher did his best to save the penalty. However, he couldn't do the same for the rebound.

The first half ended as a 1 - 1 Draw.

Second Half;

The second half started with Liverpool pressing hard for the first few minutes. However, everything paused when Onuachu of Southampton picked up an injury. He's one lad who disturbed Liverpool throughout the first half of the game.

While it's sad that he's injured, his absence for the rest of the game seemed like an opportunity for Liverpool to regain control of the midfield and the rest of the game.

That's what anyone that's watching the game would imagine.

An Opportunity!

Liverpool still messed things up and ended up conceding a nasty goal. This placed Southampton ahead with a goal advantage.

The good news, though, is that Liverpool conceded that goal in the 56th minute. From what I know about Liverpool, being a goal down by that time of the game means they can still turn things around.

Liverpool's equalizer came in the 65th minute through a ridiculous killer pass from Gravenberch. Salah just needed a touch to put that at the back of the net. He didn't waste that opportunity. Now, all we had to do was press on and get the maximum point from the game.

You can trust Liverpool to deliver at that level...

They sure did!

We won a penalty and Mo scored from the spot to bag the winner for Liverpool. His numbers this season is unreal, considering how consistent he has been. I'm glad we are still seeing the best of Mo even with the uncertainty that's around his Contract talk.

Liverpool will now head into our mid-week fixture against Real Madrid with proper momentum.
