It's another EPL footballing gameweek, and you know I'm always going to show up to give y'all the juicy updates about Liverpool's performance. They sure did very well in tonight's game and it feels so much more inspiring to know that we are at the top of EPL and UCL table.

Sadly, this is the last gameweek before another International Break.

I sure don't enjoy these international breaks. However, the positive I can take away from it is that it would be an opportunity for the players to cool off from the pressure that comes from playing intense top tier fixtures.

Back to tonight's game... We had an intense game at Anfield against Aston Villa.

First Half...

Liverpool have recently been playing a pattern that suggests that their tactics is about controlling the game and keeping their backline tight in the first half. Then, launching a series of attack in the second half to scores goals and get wins.

They used a different approach in this game. They used the first half to go on high intensity attacks. It paid off and they ended the first half with a goal advantage. It could have easily been 3 goals. However, Nunez failed to make that happen with the chances he got. For the record, the only game of the first half was also scored by Nunez.

Trent picked up an injury in this half of the game. I don't think it's something serious though... He was replaced and had to watch the second half from the bench.

Aston Villa also had their moments in the first half. They had a couple of really good goalscoring opportunities. Kelleher stepped in to brilliantly deal with each of those.

Second Half...

Liverpool didn't seem to be in a hurry in the second half of the game. They focused on being in more possession of the ball, controlling the game, dictating the tempo of the game, and defending the goal advantage they have.

They did the job so well and still managed to get really good goalscoring opportunities. Salah got that goal for Liverpool in the 84th minute of the game to seal the win.

Now, Liverpool can happily head into the international break.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.
