Play Ball!

One hundred percent of my sports watching this weekend is going to be done from the comfort of my couch and to be honest, that is just fine with me! As much as I love driving around the state(s) watching my nieces and nephews play sports, sometimes it's nice to just sit at home and relax.

Now that our one niece is finished playing basketball, we cancelled the subscription to that streaming service. It seemed like the smart thing to do at the time, but now I realize just because basketball is finished down in Ohio, that doesn't mean it is finished up here. In Michigan teams are still playing in the playoffs and our friends daughter just happens to be on one of those teams.

I guess we will just have to wait and get game updates via Facebook.

There is a whole bunch of college basketball on this weekend if you want to catch some good action as teams try to improve their standings and punch their ticket to the big dance in March.

(8) Michigan State has a big home game against (11) Wisconsin on Sunday afternoon. You better believe I will be tuning in for that on CBS at 1:30 PM. I really hope they can play a bit better than they did this past week against Maryland. Sure, they got the win, but their defense needs to be better than that. Like a lot better than that.

Meanwhile, my oldest nieces university softball team is likely on their way to Florida right now if they aren't already there to play in "The Spring Games" for the next week. Action starts tomorrow at 10 AM for them as the Tiffin Dragons take on California University of Pennsylvania. That's quite a mouthful isn't it? Are they from Cali or are they from Penn? I'm going to guess Pennsylvania, but who really knows!

Then at 3:00 PM on Saturday they have a game against Western Oregon University. The Spring Games are usually broadcast in some form or another via streaming, so I am hoping I can catch at least the morning game.

Sunday they are back in action with a 9:00 AM game against West Virginia Wesleyan College, and then 2 PM they face the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

They also have games on Monday through the rest of the week, but I will cover all of that when we actually get to next week. For now let's just enjoy the weekend huh?!

Oh it must be getting close to March Madness
Go Gators!

It definitely is! The Gators aren't doing too bad this year, but they had a tough loss to Vanderbilt this past week. Might knock them out of the top 10.

I must admit I only follow it when we are back in Florida, as we only live 20 minutes from Gainesville so can legitimately say it is our local team.
