When I saw the My Three Favourite posts challenge initiated by @livinguktaiwan I thought it was a great idea and since a few months ago I wanted to write this post. In fact, when I heard about the challenge I started right away to choose my three favorite posts but then between one thing and another the links were left in a draft. But today is the day!
It was quite fun to go through the amount of posts I have written in almost three years. The first two I chose came to mind as soon as I thought of my favourite posts because in them I talk about the two guys in my life. And not surprisingly the three posts I chose were written in my first year on Hive. But without further ado let me tell you which are my three favourites.
This is an emotionally charged post. In it, I tell about the moment we found out that my son had won a scholarship to study abroad. I remember that I wrote those lines full of pride and joy but at the same time with a lot of fear for the changes that it would bring to my life.
Today, looking back, I am still full of pride but the fear has dissipated. Our life has changed, it is true. It is the regular course of life that children leave the nest. But the road we have traveled has shown that it was all worth it. My son is fulfilled, studying what he likes and exploiting his potential. And at home, we are fine, always happy when the opportunity arises to spend a few days with him.
In my first months in Hive, I used to participate in #weekendengagement and this one was my favorite of all. The topic of the weekend was Tell us about the first time you met your current partner.
So in this post, I tell about how I met my hubby. It was a post that I loved to write because it made me remember that day so clearly. And was so nice to read again to make this post, it put a smile on my face.
Finally, I could not fail to include a travel post. I love writing them and revisiting those places through the photos and memories I capture in Hive. But choosing my favorite travel blog was a bit difficult at first, because every place I've visited has its charm and brings back good memories. So I decided to choose my most successful travel post. In fact it's my best performing post of all the posts I've written on Hive in almost three years.
It's about a short road trip along the Tramuntana road in Mallorca that I took in 2019 on a little getaway. While on a family vacation we had in Spain back then, I took a few days to go visit a cousin who had moved to Mallorca a few years ago.
Travel posts have always been part of my Hive journey and that's why I was a bit saddened by the closure of Pinmapple, but just today, I read the good news that Detlev will continue with the project under the name of @worldmappin. There is no doubt great news for all of us at Hive that the legacy of Pinmapple will be continued.
But today is the first of the month and that also means Hive Power Up Day and as usual I can't help but join in.
Have you done yours?
And if you are a Redfish and you have less than six months in Hive, I invite you to check out Redfish: win a delegation if you power up on June 1st!
Thank you for reading!
If you're reading this and you are not on Hive yet, I invite you to join through my referral link. I could delegate some resource credit to help you get started.
It's not at all easy to choose these three publications, but I'm glad you managed to do it successfully. I didn't see any of them at the time, but with this summary, plus getting to know you a little better I realize that these are posts of moments that really mean something big to you. I loved the one about your son and it even filled me with pride π The one about your husband is very precious, everything that has love stories in it moves me and regarding the travel one, it must have been difficult to choose among so many, but there is always one that has something special. I love your selection my dear!...
Thank you, Jesus π You are right, all these posts capture meaningful moments for me, especially the first two.
Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to read my posts.
Un gran abrazo!
Aha well I knew for sure there would be two posts I knew would be in your three Super Eliπ
The travel one, well that could have been a few.
Interesting to see detlev do something, I did look and saw there was no activity on the username yet.
I see travelfeed have the pinmapple map too, you just import it if you want.
All fun and games.
Happy Wednesday when you wake..
You know me well Super Ed π
Yeah, we'll see what the map and travel community thing will stop at. I have seen several posts that now have a response from the Travelfeed map and from Pinmapple one which is still working, so we will see which one will be the most popular now lol ;)
Changing the subject how are your preparations for the mini-cruise going? when you leave?
Yeah I did wonder about travelfeed, I guess they will want you to use their frontend, the bottom line of course is that people will use what gives them the blocktrades and callmedan votes. It's all about money.
Ah well Mrs T finishes work tonight, I will meet her in town for a drink. Then we leave on Sunday, it is only a week but 2 days here 2 days there and 2 days with the cruise so she is thinking what to take, that is job for tomorrow Super Eli π
You know I loved the posts you shared as part of the challenge. It's so nice, isn't it, to look back and see how much time has passed and where we are now. You guys are in the perfect place. There are always ups and downs but you said it yourself, we learn and focus on the highs.
The song hahaha...how cute.
Hey that Tramuntana trip was a doozy!
You are awesome! You have read the three posts I've shared π
Looking back and realizing that despite the lows the journey has been worth it is a very good feeling, That means that over the years the highs have left more of a mark than the lows and that's how it should be ;)
Gracias otra vez amiga π€

The time does fly and it is fun to look back and choose your favourite posts. I like the ones you have chosen, I think it reflects your blog's journey and content well. We have seen some lovely posts when you visit your son in Chicago and when he comes home. Plus your great travel posts when you find some great place that you share with us. Looking forward to more great posts.
Thank you, Steve! You are very kind. I too think the posts I've chosen define my blog, I love to share about the places I visit and about my family. Hopefully, we'll have lots more time to share stories and read each other around here. Saludos!
Sooon, you can pin with @worldmappin like you did before.
Thanks for mentioning
