RE: Hiking on vulcanoes: Puy de la Vache and Puy Lassolas (Parc naturel régional des Volcans d'Auvergne)

Very cool! Great shots. I love the volcanic areas. Most of where I live now was formed by volcanic activity and those mounds in your pictures remind me of all the cones we have around here. Some of the activity was as recent as 1500 years ago. I picked up some lava rocks a few weeks ago that were so light they actually floated. :)
