As we move into the new year, @helios.voter would like to take a moment to clearly outline what we expect from authors who participate in our mentorship-based curation program going forward.

Our goal has always been simple:
👉 Help creators grow as writers while maintaining strong, sustainable curation quality.
When authors improve, everyone benefits — including long-term curation rewards.

🌱 What This Program Is (and Is Not)

This is not an automatic upvote service.
This is a mentorship program.

That means:

• We read posts

• We provide constructive feedback

• We support content that shows effort, growth, and consistency

If you’re looking for hands-off or low-effort voting, this program may not be a good fit.

✍️ General Content Expectations

To qualify for mentorship-based curation, posts should include:

• Original writing with clear effort

• Sufficient length to explain the topic (150 Word Minimum)

• Context, reflection, or personal insight

Content written for readers, not just for rewards

Very short or repetitive posts will receive feedback instead of continued support.

🚶‍♂️ Actifit Post Guidelines

Actifit posts are welcome, but they must still meet basic quality standards.

Actifit posts should include:

✅ At least ~150 words of original text

✅ Explanation of the activity or personal reflection

✅ More than a single sentence or mood update

Here's what 150 words looks like for your reference:

Photos or videos do not replace written content.
Short check-ins are fine on Hive — but not repeatedly within a mentorship program.

🎥 Media Posts (Photos & Videos)

Media is encouraged, but:

• Media must be accompanied by written context

• Explain what’s happening and why it matters

A few thoughtful paragraphs go a long way

📈 Growth Matters

We pay attention to improvement over time.

We love seeing:

• Longer posts

• Better explanations

• Deeper reflections

Creative formats and experimentation

If you’ve written great posts in the past, we know you can do it again — and we’ll gladly support that effort.

⚠️ Repeated Low-Effort Posting

Occasional short posts happen — that’s normal.

However:

• Consistently low-effort content

• Repeated very short posts

• Ignoring mentorship feedback

…may result in reduced or discontinued curation support.

We do maintain an internal blacklist for accounts that repeatedly ignore guidelines or attempt to misuse the service. We prefer mentorship — but we will protect curation quality when necessary.

We want to support authors who:

• Care about improving

• Respect the mentorship process

• Take feedback seriously
