RE: HBD (HIVE Dollar) : The Ultimate Investment for Passive Income

Well, the 2 main questions are if the risk is worth the reward and if there are other places that potentially offer a better deal. In terms of risk, I would say HBD is quite high, especially compared to some of the established backed stablecoins where you can also get some yield on. In terms of reward, I would argue that it's limited as there is no real world where HBD is going above 1$.

Personally I rather focus on things were there is upside price potential and where the yield that is paid actually comes from real revenue. That said, it is nice that HBD has managed to hold it's peg but from the way I understand it, the price of Hive suffers a lot from that.

You mean the risk for HBD is to lose the USD peg value?
HBD is stable so value will not appreciate and this is why HIVE can be a good option with more potential but if someone is looking for a decent income in safe way, HBD is a good option

It remains an algorithmic stable coin that fundamentally isn't really backed by much. It all works until it doesn't anymore as seen with what happend to Terra Luna. Just speaking for myself, holding HBD to get the 15% APY feels like picking up pennies in front of a freight train.

All this said, I still very much enjoy Hive as a platform and hope there will be a time when a real bull market and some crazy adoption takes place. It's nice to see many new names recently.
