RE: Graduation Day

(edited)

Happy birthday! I hope you enjoy your celebration and this next trip around the sun! Mine is coming up in a few weeks too. Keeping cynicism at bay feels like a full time job as we get older, it takes real work. My nephew graduated the seventh grade yesterday. It's so hard to believe how fast they grow up. He's looking like a teenager now.

Crypto has been downright boring lately. I just heard a prediction from JP Morgan/Chase the other day of $170k BTC by fall. We'll see about that. I feel like these predictions are often just an attempt to manipulate the market. I think BTC, in particular, is just going to become more stable as it matures and the market cap grows. The ETF inflows/outflows are keeping it flat. Traditional investments have been the star of the show lately. However, I worry that "what goes up must come down". I just stumbled on the Fidelity Cash Management Account and am considering opening one. It looks like a pretty good alternative to a traditional checking/savings account, especially with interest rates dwindling. The interest you earn on the money comes from dividends so that APY should stay more stable over the long term.
