Perhaps we could also counsel leaders who, unbeknownst to them, act like Messiahs when standards are not met in the church or community (probing to legalism), or when they grew weary, became fed up, or they "just let it be" because they see no change (probing to cynicism). Both are centered in the self, no matter how noble they can be.
