That big trapal water setup is the detail that stuck with me. It's one thing to know El Niño is coming; it's another to actually engineer a buffer for it while the weather's still fine. Smart farming. I also liked that the carrots are being timed for All Saints' Day — that's a level of market awareness a lot of hobby farmers never develop. Sorry to hear about your brother's motorcycle accident, though. It's good he has workers keeping things going while he recovers. Does he plan to expand the water storage further, or is the trapal setup enough to carry the cabbage through a long dry spell?
Thank you for appreciating our preparation for El Niño. We hope the trapal water storage will be enough to help the cabbage survive during the dry season. It is also a big help that the place is very foggy every morning, which helps keep the surroundings cool and benefits the cabbage. We will continue to monitor the water supply and find ways to save water if needed. We are also thankful that the workers are helping maintain the farm while my brother is recovering from his accident. Hopefully, he will recover soon and walk normally again. 🌿😍
