RE: From Marah to Elim

(edited)

In two hours, I will be sharing a devotion for our school prayer meeting. I want to extend my reflection on the first point, particularly in relation to the three core values I maintained when I worked in South Korea for 4 years. Comparing my experience there to my current work, my prayer now is more of a daily sigh. As for giving my best, I learn to set boundaries to protect my peace and my health. If not, people tend to abuse your generosity and accommodation. As for the "enjoy" part, my work here is more stressful than my work in South Korea. People's frustrations, shortage of funds, and delegating responsibility without authority and clarity, combined with a demanding person, make the "enjoy" part very challenging.
