Both private and government corporations have merits and demerits, but I believe the poor will suffer most from privatization because the inadequate services that the government are presently rendering to its citizens majority of them can't afford it.

That's true, privatization can improve quality, but unfortunately a portion of the poorer population would certainly have a hard time paying to use this service, even if there were some policy for the most needy, it would hardly be free.
