I saw a case a while ago with a distant relative, they lived in the US. The son wanted to live his life against his parents.
A minor does not have the judgment or experience to determine the best course for his life.
It reminds me of a story in Ancient Greece, where people voted against a doctor, because the medicine he made was very bitter, but it was very effective in healing.
The people wanted a doctor who would make better tasting medicine, but that better tasting medicine did not have much ability to cure illnesses.
It is difficult to accept as reasonable that a child sues his parents unless there is mistreatment or abuse involved.
